Mlenje ("Mlenje", "we", "us", or "our") operates a job platform connecting professionals and employers across Malawi, available via our website and mobile app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, work history, and documents you upload or generate (CVs, cover letters). We also collect information automatically, such as device information and usage data, to keep the Service reliable and secure.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Mlenje requests limited access to your Google Account so specific features can work. We only request the scopes needed for those features, and each is shown to you on Google's consent screen before access is granted.

Mlenje's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell Google user data to third parties.
We share your application materials with employers you choose to apply to. We use third-party infrastructure providers (such as hosting and Google APIs) strictly to operate the Service, under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing that service. We do not sell your personal data or Google user data to any third party.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, including data obtained via Google APIs, at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. You can also revoke Mlenje's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can access, update, or delete your Mlenje account information at any time. You can revoke Google account access at any time via Google Account permissions, and you can request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
The Service is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
